Aggie the Alien launches seasonal health campaigns for children
Published on: 26th May 2022
Aggie the Alien is hopping around North West London on a mission to protect children and give health advice
This month, Aggie the Alien will be landing in NW London. A new campaign from NHS North West London CCG, Aggie the Alien, is a fun character who will be talking to primary school aged children about how to keep healthy. There will be four seasonal campaigns throughout the year focused on health and healthy behaviours among younger children. With Coronovairus still around, this month Aggie is talking about covid safe behaviours with reminders about handwashing and trying to avoid touching your nose and mouth.
Packs are being posted to all primary schools in NW London that include a letter explaining the campaign and posters to put up in schools and stickers. Schools will also be sent the materials by email, which they can then send on to all their parents for them to look at with their children, in time for half term.
In conjunction with these materials there will also be an Aggie the Alien themed ‘Healthy Hopper’ bus visiting destinations all over NW London. The bus is fully equipped to deliver Coronavirus vaccines, but also health and immunisation advice too for all our younger residents. The bus features the same characters as the KS1 & 2 materials, so it will be familiar to those who have seen the materials and they easily link the two. The bus will be visiting the following locations over the next couple of weeks:
Thursday 26 May Bell Square, Hounslow High Street TW3 3NR 3 to 7pm
Friday 27 May Harmondsworth Primary School UB7 0AU 3 to 7pm
Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 St Mary’s Church, Acton W3 9NW 10 to 6pm
Tuesday 31 May & Wednesday 1 June Bell Square, Hounslow High Street TW3 3NR 3 to 7pm
Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 June Northolt High School, Eastcote Lane, Northolt, UB5 4HP 10 to 6pm
