Coronavirus (COVID-19) update from North West London NHS - 21 May 2020

Published on: 22nd May 2020

#KindnessMatters

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme this year is ‘Kindness Matters’. The theme was chosen by the Mental Health Foundation who feel that in these uncertain times, kindness is prevailing. The campaign is supported across the NHS and we will use this issue to signpost you to resources that can help you manage your mental health during the Coronavirus crisis.

We will also update you on how we are supporting our staff who have selflessly put themselves on the frontline in the fight against the pandemic. Our recurring message to you is that the NHS is open for business and these are the people that make it happen.

We also have the first instalment of our Leaders’ feature where we focus on the role of Professor Julian Redhead who is one of the senior clinical figures in the health response to coronavirus in North West London.

This week’s redeployment story follows Nathan Whiting from Hammersmith and Fulham CCG to the local clinic used to treat confirmed and suspected cases of Covid-19. He tells us about his experience.
