Letter from North West London Health and Care Partnership re diagnostic imaging in NW London

ACTION: Read the letter in full and act accordingly

Thank you for your efforts in managing demand during the Covid-19 pandemic. Your co-operation and hard work is very much appreciated.

Recovery planning and implementation is now the main focus for our clinical teams across North West London. We will be providing regular updates on the proposal and planning going forward. With regard to Diagnostic Imaging, the Imaging Clinical Directors across NW London have agreed that all routine direct access imaging requests (requested pre-lockdown and prior to the shutdown of routine services) that are currently held in a postponed state should be returned back to the referring GP. This is to allow you to re-prioritise this activity and ensure equity of access to the limited imaging capacity in the sector, and that it is based on clinical need.
